safety training sessions. Look over the course titles and sign up today! Aerial Lift Certification (29CFR1910.67) -- Scissor lift operators are required to be trained and authorized. Classroom instruction and "hands on" will be included. Participants receive certification upon completion of test. 2 hours. Back to Top Blood Borne Pathogens (29CFR1910.1030) -- Training is required for any employee who may have exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials in the workplace. This program is offered to first responders, first aid providers, and those responsible for custodial duties. 2 hours. Back to Top Confined Spaces (29CFR1910.146) -- Both general and specific roles and responsibilities of the Entry Supervisor, Attendant, and Entrant will be covered. Non-entry rescue and retrieval equipment will be reviewed, as well as permit-required documentation. Retrieval equipment and rescue techniques are demonstrated. 4 hours. Back to Top Electrical (Level 1) -- Level 1 includes the theory of electricity. Discussions include current, voltage, resistance, and related hazards for employees. Safe work practices include topics such as grounding, bonding, GFCI, and arc flash protection. 4 hours. Back to Top Fall Protection -- Falls are the leading cause of death in the construction industry. This course focuses on identification of potential hazards, OSHA regulations, and prevention of falls. The proper use and care of fall protection devices will also be covered. 2 hours. Back to Top Hazard Communications (29CFR1910.1200) -- This program will cover all aspects of proper container labeling as well as provide an understanding and use of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). 2 hours. Back to Top Lockout/Tagout (29CFR1910.147) -- "Authorized," "affected," and "other" personnel roles and responsibilities will be covered. Step by step procedures to perform a proper lockout/tagout are included. Electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, gas, water, steam, chemical, thermal, and gravitational energies are discussed. 2 hours. Back to Top Machine Guarding -- Employees need to know what OSHA regulations apply to the machines the employee operates. This course will cover the types of guards and devices available to protect the employee. 2 hours. Back to Top OSHA 10 hour for General Industry -- This course provides an overview of the OSHA regulations as they apply to general industry. Use of the OSHA standard manual will be included. Students will be able to locate and apply the standards, as well as utilize OSHA standards and regulations to supplement an ongoing safety and health program. 10 hours. Back to Top OSHA 10 hour for Construction -- This course will provide an overview of the OSHA regulations as they apply to the construction industry. Emphasis will also be given to the practical use of the OSHA standard manual as a source of the standards applicable to their profession. 10 hours. Back to Top Powered Industrial Truck Certification (29CFR1910.178) -- Forklift operators will receive classroom instruction as well as the "hands on" instruction as required by the revised OSHA standard (Feb. 1999). Employees will receive certification upon successful completion of tests. 2 hours. Back to Top Respiratory Protection (29CFR1910.134) -- The respiratory standard requirements will be presented with an emphasis on the recent changes to the standard in 1999. Qualitative fit testing will be available as part of this course. 2 hours. Back to Top Rigging and Slings -- There is a correct way to lift equipment and objects safely. Inspection of slings and proper use of slings will be addressed in this course. This course provides the knowledge to make good, safe lifts. 4 hours. Back to Top Scaffolding (29CFR1926.454) -- Definitions, general scaffolding requirements, scaffold types, aerial lifts, and "competent person" training requirements will be covered. 4 hours. Back to Top Trenching/Excavating (29CFR1926.650, 651, 652) -- Topics will include soil classification, sloping, benching, timber shoring, and proper selection of protective systems. Information is designed to establish a "Competent Person" level of knowledge with a "hands-on" approach. 8 hours. Back to Top Developing OSHA Written Programs -- This course is designed to review the written requirements for the various OSHA programs and guide you in customizing these written programs. 2 hours. Back to Top Supervisory Training -- Various modules are available, including Safety & Health Management, Communication Effectively, Supervisory Leadership, and Improving Employee Performance. Employee participation is required as these sessions are designed for interaction. 4 hours. Back to Top Strains and Sprains -- This course is designed for employees who are or have experienced strains and sprains related to their work activities. Hazard identification, job function analysis, action planning, and monitoring results are included. 2 hours. Back to Top Introduction to Behavioral Based Safety -- If you believe you are ready to take your safety process to the next level, this approach may be right for your organization. Topics discussed in detail include organizational assessment, alignment of common objectives, initial steps to a successful implementation, and potential downfalls. 2 hours. Back to Top Implementing a Comprehensive Safety Process -- This course is offered for employees who know that safety compliance and an employee's personal safety are necessary, but don't know where to begin or how to get started. A step by step approach is used to understand the general as well as the more specific rules, regulations, and common sense that is required to have an effective safety process. Back to Top Employee Orientations -- This is a "customized" program to identify the employer's needs to provide an effective employee orientation. OSHA training requirements are integrated into the presentation so the orientation can achieve both company rule indoctrination as well as meet regulatory demands. 2-4 hours. Back to Top When OSHA Comes Calling -- A surprise visit from an OSHA compliance officer doesn't have to be a surprise at all. This session is designed to walk you through every step of an OSHA inspection.
